Humboldt Redwoods State Park has more than 250 developed family camp sites at Albee Creek, Burlington, and Hidden Springs Campgrounds. The park also offers environmental, trail, horse, and group camps. The developed campgrounds have a picnic table and fire ring in each camp site, as well as flush toilets and coin-operated showers in each campground. There are no electrical hook-ups in any camp site, and the park does not have a dump station.
Each developed family camp site can accommodate up to 8 people and a varying number of vehicles, depending on the size of the site. The campgrounds do not offer sites for RVs over 24 feet in length and trailers over 24 feet in length. Specific information on each camp site, such as the amount of sun or shade and the number or size of vehicles that will fit, can be found on the Reserve America web site. Reservations include one vehicle. Extra vehicle fees will be paid upon arrival to the park. ADA camp sites may only be occupied by a camper with a disabled license plate or disabled placard for their vehicle. Reservations for ADA sites will not be honored without proof of eligibility.
All campgrounds within Humboldt Redwoods State Park, with the exception of trail camps, are on site-specific reservations. Reservations can be made by calling (800) 444-PARK (7275) or online at http://www.reservecalifornia.com
Reservations cannot be made at the park. Camping reservations are recommended, and they can be made up to 6 months in advance or as late as 48 hours before arrival. Camp sites that are not reserved are available on a first come, first served basis for one night at a time. The only way to guarantee availability is to reserve a camp site. Please see the individual campground descriptions for additional information regarding camping reservations.
